Combining my career as a hospice nurse as well as a travel advisor I have developed a passion for crafting personalized journeys that cater to each client's unique needs. One of my areas of focus is assisting clients with cancer or other medical conditions to make travel possible. I hold several certifications to give me the knowledge to plan a trip to meet all of your needs.
I take the time to understand each client's specific requirements, from mobility needs to medication management. My signature approach involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, airlines, TSA, resorts and more to ensure seamless travel experiences. My career vision is to make accessible travel a reality for everyone. To change "I can't to...I can with help"
Planning is the Secret to Safe & Stress-Free Travel
With Medically Focused Travel it is recommended that you plan at least 3 months prior to departure
I spend a lot of time gathering information before I start that planning process, I take great pride in crafting personalized journeys that cater to each persons unique needs. I assist with choosing the best destination based on your “why” and “what matters most”. We will start with completing a pre-travel phone call. This can be done in one call or two. After the phone call you will receive an email recap of our conversation to review. Once we have a "game plan" I will begin putting together a proposal. This proposal consists of 2-3 different options depending on your specific preferences. After the proposal is created we will schedule another call-this can be either a phone call or a video call (whichever you are more comfortable with). After you have all the information you can take as much time as you need to review the options and make a decision. Once you make a decision the trip will be booked by paying the deposit and solidify the specifics. Note-all prices quoted in the proposal will be subject to change until the deposit is paid. I will get to work on the medical aspects of the trip-working on documentation items needed.
I can help with as much or as little as you choose. If you would like me to make contact with your healthcare providers, I will have you complete a HIPAA (privacy) form. I will be in contact with you up until the time of departure as well as during your trip. You will have all the documents and information you need prior to your trip and I will be available 24/7 during your trip as well.
I provide information for you to use during your trip specific to your medical needs. For example: sun safe precautions, tips if you have a compromised immune system, food safety, documents to travel with and planning days mindful of energy levels.
I provide you with information about a global care app that will give you access to a personal nurse 24/7 while on your trip. You call to set up your account 1 week prior to travel. If you need their assistance while traveling, they will have your medical information available to be able to assist you and make medical recommendations. There is also the ability to do daily check in to prevent possible problems from occurring,
I provide travel advisor assistance 24/7. You can contact me via Travefy messaging app (will educate you when finalizing the trip) or by telephone. I can help with things such as problems with resorts, flight delays, transportation problems etc.
Q: If I am being treated for cancer, how do I know the best time to travel?
A: The very first conversation to have if you are thinking about travel is with your doctor. He/she will know the best (safest time) for you to travel during your course of treatment.
Q: How do I find out where the nearest medical care would be when I travel?
A: I will provide you with the information of the nearest medical facility to your vacation destination as well as a 24/7 global medical service that can assist you.
Q: I bet I am not able to travel if I need medical supplies while I am on vacation. Is that correct?
A: That is not correct. You are able to travel. I am able to coordinate your needs with a medical supply company near your destination that can provide your medical supply needs during your stay.
Q: What do you charge?
A: There is no fee for my service.
